Beautiful red Univega
Hi all,
I just picked this up off of Craigslist, and I'm trying to identify it (I understand Univegas were rebadged versions of other models). No pictures yet, but they'll follow soon!
Anyway, it's a 56 cm Gran Record with a 105 group, including downtube shifters (rear indexed) and double Biopace chainrings. Pedals have leather cages. Handlebars have Kusuki engraved on the drive side and Winpista on the other. It's got a white Muudialita saddle with matching bar tape and brake hoods (brakes have aero cable routing). The serial number under the BB is PE70950, and there's a 56 written next to it.
I'm amazed what good shape this bike is in--there are a couple scratches on the fork blade, and the rear of the saddle is a bit torn up, but generally it looks like it's spent the last 15 years in someone's basement. Can anyone tell me anything about this bike?
Thanks,
Daniel
