I posted this in Catch of the Day but I also thought I would post with the direct approach to this $10 goodwill find. Any information about the quality of this frameset and components would be most helpful since I plan on cleaning this up and selling it. I could find no serial numbers on the bike.

Only because you asked... It's pretty low-end stuff. There's some interest in the shifters and rear derailleur, primarily from the Rivendell Kool-Aiders. (I like Rivendell. Don't flame me )

If there's no horrible rust and it cleans up nicely, it might fetch $100-$200 depending on your area. IMO, of course.

Nice bike, a nice one for a hundred let alone ten.You see the date so..?? I'd have guessed in was 83-87 I have a Miyata with similar comps.,a 1980. the parts are typical for a five hundred dollar bike of the day.. THe diacomp brakes work well,I still ride my bike with the Suntour friction.Araya rims are cheap but good Mine still are serviceable. The Sugino cranks are nicer than the SR's,they have a 50?-40?,the sr's had a smaller inner chain ring as well. Probably called a 23inch HUH ? It's a great find.A size smaller would suit me,I don't believe thay had 56cm frames,I think they were STILL going from 21,23,25" etc.The Shimano bikes were a notch higher in price.I liked Suntour as much.Plain to see it's a fairly good frame.That's easy to verify.

Great find. It would place it late 80's, say 1988-89, because of the aero brakes with and left-rear sidepulls. Earlier Diacompes had the cable running to the right side rear, and I don't think they had aero levers until about '88 or later. The Japanese Bianchi frames were of good quality, but they don't fetch nearly what the Italian frames do in the market.
