stem mounted speedometers
Wasn't sure where to post this but anyways, I am wondering if anyone makes any bike speedometers that mount using the bolt of your stem rather than clamping around the handlebar. If there are any available does anyone have one that they would recommend? I'm not looking for anything that fancy, just something that has all the basic features (speed, time, odo, distance, and maybe avg/max speed).
Thanks

Sounds like something you could retrofit yourself. Not sure about the safety of using the stem bolt, but you could certainly mount it _on_ the stem...

I mount mine on the stem just in front of the bolt with a zip tie, The mounting bracket has slots in it just for this purpose. That particular one is a Trek incite 8i wireless, pretty basic, but I think my other speedos can be mounted that way, too.
