I don't need another frame. I can't justify buying this one on any rational basis. But I did it anyway.

Yeah, it needs some touching up, but those smooth, clean Ron Cooper lines are soooooo pretty . . . .

What kind of parts you want to hang on it? Maybe I can help you out......

That fork looks like it would work for Kurt, and I sure would be willing to cut and thread it to size for the Rossin. I have some extra NOS Campagnolo laying around to trade.

Get back to work now, bigbossman!

In fact, not only is it a beautiful fork, it looks identical to a Guerciotti fork minus the pantographing. Wonder if Mr. Cooper has any spares

C'mon bigbossman, you know I'm about as computer-savvy as a banana slug. But here is another teaser (and thanks for the assist, Old Fat Guy). Also, I think that fork needs to stay right where it is. As for stuff to hang on it, I'll probably move the ecclectic collection of stuff currently hanging on my Y2K Lemond Zurich, which I think just became surplus. Anyone interested? 61cm c-t.

Thanks, Stan. Coming from you, that's quite a compliment. Ron Coopers have been on my short list of Most Lustworthy Frames for a long, long time. It was pure serendipity that I even saw this one listed, much less that I actually got it for a price I could pay. As for the fork, yeah, it's a thing of beauty. It isn't what made the deal for me, but it sure as shootin' didn't hurt.

Probably cannabalize the strange assortment of stuff I have currently hanging on a Y2K Lemond Zurich. It's not like I have a big budget to work with, and I'm not interested in having a museum piece - this baby is going to be ridden. I may try to work out a trade or two with bigbossman for an item or two, though . . . .

Yeah - but he's probably gonna hang a rucksack off the back, and slap on some plastic fenders and stuff to ugly it up.

The "rucksack" (actually a Rivendell Banana Bag) will likely make an appearance on the Cooper, but not fenders. The Cooper gets the sleek, smooth look. The Paramount gets the bells and whistles.

So build it already! I wanna see what it looks like in my rear view mirror.....

Speaking of which....you don't call, you don't write - I don't think you love me anymore. When are we gonna go for another ride?

Oh how I know that feeling well. I am a sick, sick man . . .

Someone on here probably just sold this to me.

Laws of physics being what they are, it's a little tough for me to build it up until the frame is actually delivered to me. As for you seeing it in your rear-view mirrior, the only that'll happen is when I'm riding circles around you.

And if you believe that . . . .

I'm trying to be discreet. I don't want your wife, daughter and dog to get suspicious.

Oh, sure, try to trump me pretty British Ron Cooper with a pretty British Bob Jackson. Just be that way.

But seriously, that's a great loking frame. My first significant purchase with my first paycheck from my first job out of high school was a brand new Bob Jackson frame. Red it was, with a white head tube and a white panel on the seat tube, block letter (insteadt of the slanted letters, as yours has) and chrome fork ends and stay ends. I bought in 1975 it from Stones Cyclery in Alameda (still there, still dealing in really nice stuff) for the then-lordly sum of $170. Somebody stole it out of my garage not quite 20 years later. I still miss it . . . .
