They are coming out of the woodwork on eBay right now. first tall TdF frame and second tall TdF frame, both with reasonable decals and a 56cm complete TdF and tall complete Super Corsa

Bikes: 71 Chrome Paramount P13-9, 73 Opaque Blue Paramount P15, 74 Blue Mink Raleigh Pro, 91 Waterford Paramount, Holland Titanium x2

At $300 that TdF is likely going nowhere. I got mine with a Stronglight crank for $180. The Super Corsa has had a dropout repair which isn't shown in the pictures.

One frame has peeling chrome, the other is from the "Sultan".

The Super Corsa now has bids. It's a nice looking bike albeit highly priced. I bet your $180 wasn't purchased off eBay in the Spring. It's tough to find deals right now as a buyer. Great time to sell.

You could get your kid a cute matching miniature Gitane w/24" wheels: https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=280109516745

What's the scoop on the "Sultan"? He has had some frames in the past that have interested me, but the bids have always left my price range.

Like Gitane there is no Miyata category on fleaBay. Here's a nice 57cm Miyata team frame that has been repainted. Too small for me

Yes, I've noticed a marked increase in prices in the last week or two. Nevertheless, I managed to win a bike for $43, while an identical bike (ok, it had better paint, but a repaint was already part of my plans) went for $150+ a few days later.

I bought it about a year ago. The seller, Applecart, failed to leave me a positive even though I left him one, probably because I got it so cheap (?) Because of that I can't tell you exactly when but it was in the spring.

We had one in the LBS I worked in. Not nicely equipped like that one, more like a Huret Svelto with a 3 or 4 speed freewheel. It got tons of attention but no buyers.

I bought a freewheel from him and it didn't arrive. He was quite apologetic about forgetting to send it and seemed like a nice guy. Always referring to himself in the third person is annoying to me, but he does get good prices for his stuff.

If anything, the glut of Gitanes should keep the prices down. I think......

The Sultan seems like a good guy to me. He ships fast and everything I've gotten from him has been clean and polished. He's always got good stuff and he takes good pictures, so you know what you're bidding on.
