Twin Schwinn Travelers!
Apparently the Good Lord isn't ready for me to acquire a Paramount yet (or a Campagnolo, either- another story), but my sweet wife and I did score these his 'n' hers Travelers this weekend. Aren't they gorgeous!
The men's frame is too big for me, but they only came as a pair. She's thrilled with her new bike!
I think we're gonna have to build a bike stable here on the farm.

Rick, when Ms. PB and I were married over a 1/4 century ago we bought a pair of the same bikes (minus the fenders, rear racks, and padded saddles) just before heading to seminary. She never rode hers much so we let it go at the church yard sale a few years ago. But mine is still on the road (in it's highly modified state as a touring bike) providing me with plenty of happy miles every year. Mine was built in in October 1979. What are the 4 digit numbers stamped into the headbadges? They look to be '78-'80s by the decal style.

Bob, I had already figured out that they were similar to yours. As you can see, these are fixed for touring, too. The numbers are 0380 & 0150

My wife took the Traveler for a spin yesterday, and she LOVES it
We had bought her a Taiwan-made Traveler some months back and spent a good deal of money and time on it trying to get it right... but she prefers this one right off. She's really into the dork-bike features- fenders, baskets, etc. Come to think of it, so am I!
Wish I'd found it sooner!
Thanks for all the positive remarks, folks. We hope to do some touring this summer, and I'll keep you posted.
