From: An Island on the Coast of GA!
Bikes: Snazzy* Schwinns, Classy Cannondales & a Super Pro Aero Lotus (* Ed.)
I've seen a few "Roadways" on the scrap pile at the town dump, but no 10 speeds and none in such nice condition. My guess is they were low cost bikes sold at a discount dept. store. While not a treasure, it looks to be a very useable bike.

The KS prefix on the serial number is consisent with a Kawamura built frame from the early 1970s, though it does seem to have a 2 or 3 extra numbers over what I usually see. This manufacturer also built Nishiki and Azuki brand bicycles. It does appear to be department or chain store bicycle, as suggested by the previous poster.
