You would have to ask. I believe most indexed bar end shifters have a non-index mode. But I can't tell on the one in question. If they are some modification (indexed downtube shifters on barend bodies), there should be that option. But those kinda look like friction to me.

Hi gang,

My first post here. I just discovered this thread about my bike so sorry it's so belated. The guy who inquired about it is a really good kid. I hope he found a nice bike. I didn't even realize how old the photos were. The bike I was selling [technically still am, but I think I have a buyer for my "cult bike"] has Centaur cranks/BB, Shimano indexed-with-friction-option shifters and Ruffy Tuffy tires [with extra front wheel and pictured blue tires]. Sure, it doesn't matter now, but, I'd hate the OP or anyone else to think I was being misleading. Dumb is more like it!
