Remember the Olmo I gave away?
Here it is, under the rather shapely bottom in the pink striped bikini on the World Naked Bike Ride. She says next time she might go the whole hog and actually riding naked! Giving away bikes is definitely in a good cause.

I see most of the riders went with the 'not quite so naked ride'!
We have it here in Seattle in July (because our weather is also rather damp). In fact, it rained cats and dogs here on the 10th. It does help if the city in which the ride is held does have a sense of humour about the whole thing
.
Did you and Gill do the ride?

That particular group weren't so naked, no, though next year might be different. Apparently there were over 100 riders, and the majority really were naked. I would've gone for sure, had it not been the night before my wedding. Gill, I'm not so sure. She has no problem taking her clothes off on the beach, but riding naked through town might be a step too exhibitionist for her!

Interestingly, the gentleman behind your Olmo rider appears also to have a vintage bike
.
I've been asked if I will be doing the WBNR in SEA--I don't think I would be up for that either, so I would not blame Gill if she demurred...

You could always do it in a bikini, a la Cat. This was her gang, her being the one on the left. I don't know the rest of them.

What better bachelor party could there be? All it needs is beer, and I'd be shocked if a horde of naked cyclists planned on spending the rest of the evening sober...

It's something to do with the ride--if you go to the World Bike Naked Ride website, they have a bit in there about the painting--it's meant to be expressive. It's particularly prevalent at the Seattle WBNR.

The ride is supposed to promote green issues, hence the prevalance of green body paint! Also, people somehow feel less naked when they're painted......

Ah, and I just thought it was something with the picture.
Of course, something I couldn't help but notice... is it just me, or is she just sitting on the top tube instead of the saddle?
