Staiger sprinter
Hey I found an old Staiger sprinter today at a thrift shop. Its 15$. It is a 5 speed with suntour components. Stem shifters. Paint and decals are faded, but not in bad condition. It also has an old brooks saddle. My question, are these good quality bikes? I know they're rarer, being made in germany, but is it worth it to buy it and spend time and $$ fixing it up?

Staiger Rocks!!!!
Yo Frunkin,
Bought a big Staiger Touring bike within 2 wks of being stationed in Germany and rode the beast for 2 1/2 yrs nonstop.. No prob at all.. must have put 10,000 k on the thing. Brought it home to the states 20 yrs ago still ride it today and I'm 6'5" 230lbs. Just general maintenence. Talk about a tough frame. Mine has shimano's fd and rd Wiemann rims and brakes. $15.00 by it and revel in the teutonic glory!!!
