Campagnolo Nuovo Record brake calipers.
hey,
i just picked up a set of campy nuovo record brake calipers. the package came right as i was walking out the door for work, so i haven't gotten a good look at them. as far as i understand, the brake pads, when worn out can be pulled out of the holders and new inserts can slide back in. has anyone done this, and is there a method to it, or do they just pop in and out? they seemed like they were pretty well clamped in there... do the pads slide in from the back of the holder? thanks.

yes it will be apparent when you look at the pads and holders how they slide out (one end is open), I usually spray them with some simple green or like soapy substance and let them site for 5 minutes. This usually helps them slide out and I can do it without tools.

so i just got home and put the new brake calipers on my bike. i noticed a funny thing... the cable pulls are on the opposite sides as they should be, or rather compared to my old calipers. are these brakes intended to be run to the opposite brake handles as well? ie: front brake on the right brake handle, rear on the left brake handle, the only reason i ask is because the provided (nos) cable housing doesn't quite reach to the brake handles. is this very common, i've never noticed this. thanks.

The Campagnolo are opposite a Weinmann 500 for instance. The typical American routing is right lever rear, left lever front, but you can reverse if you want to go British or to suit your tastes.
