So, I only got one comment confirming this in my ID thread, but does my '83 Peugeot P8 have an English bottom bracket?
I.E. Can I get a cartridge BB for it so I can rock SS/track cranks for happy chainline or should I just save up and buy a new everything but wheels at the same time.

"many people in the OTHER thread that you created said it is english"
One person.
I just don't want to end up wasting a hundred dollars only to find out that the BB doesn't fit.
Thanks anyway.

My 1980 Peugeot PKN-10 is Swiss-threaded. Before investing lots of money in a new bottom bracket, borrow an English-threaded BB cup (readily available) and see whether it screws reasonably smoothly and easily into its respective side of the BB shell.

I guess I'll ride over to the LBS this week and ask if I can try an english BB on. Thanks for the help, I probebly won't be getting a really nice BB, but I will be dropping dollars on a crankset, probably a RD Messengers, or some other RD set, maybe some older DA's.

It's english, 100% totally positive, The BB I put in mine cost me $10 at the lbs, works fine.
