Armstrong Ye Olde Byke

I bought an "Armstrong" bike at a Thrift store. Its really old. Solid bar brakes, etc. I'm pretty sure it's English and from the 30's or 40's - but they probably didnt' build bikes during the war(?)

Does anyone know anything about Armstrong bicycles?

just curious. Oh yeah, it's Sturmey Archer 3 speed and super fast.

Have heard of them but don't know much. I'm guessng it has rod brakes. The site with the most info on Brit. 3 speeds that I know of is OldRoads.com. They have some stuff on the homepage and if you scroll their discussion boards you'll find one called "English Roadsters." Some people hang out there who are truly fanatical about those bikes.
