Right now I'm cleaning it up and waiting on tires.. Do you guys think the shifters/ brakes will still work? |
if adjusted properly I think it should still work. I like the fenders.

Only one way to find out - lube everything up and give it a try! (Um, in a parking lot. Not a gigantic hill full of traffic).
What is it? Looks like a bike with a story! |

while the image is coarse, if that is a Reynolds transfer on the seat tube just below the seat lug it is customer installed and or a "NOT built with..."

no i mean the seat post itself- 27.2, 26.0... i thought it was a 25.4 but im not sure

Hi-Ten 1020 tubing. the dealer would have sold the fenders and the kickstand as an option when the bike was new. I owned a red '72. This is about the same vintage. I don't remember exactly, but the seatpost was very small, as the tubing is pretty thick. Probably a 25.4 would be a good place to start fitting.
It was a great rider, far beyond its materials. I rode it for ten years... |
