Superbe Pro RD?

I picked up a trio of bikes today - a Knottingham Raleigh, Centurion Bicycle Company, and a Fuji S-12. Only the Fuji had alloy rim 27" tires. Not a great find. I"m cleaning it up to flip but noticed it has a Superbe Pro rear derailleur. It's light and is shining up nice. The FD is marked Suntour Vx and the downtube Suntour shifters are marked "power" and ratchet. Is the Superbe worth hanging onto? The Suntour GT off one bike was bent and I only have a Shimano 400 RD riveted to a hanger on hand.
I have to put new tires, a saddle, tape (had cloth but I'm too lazy at the moment to cloth/shellac), and shift cables to flip the bike. I don't expect to get much back on the trio unless their frames sell for fixies.

Bikes: Still have a few left!

SunTour Superbe parts have quite a following & are pulling in some high prices. I put a "watch" on a lighlty used Superbe Pro rear derailleur some months ago just to find the selling price & was surprised when it sold at $141.00!

Bikes: Canondale LL Bean, Criterium; both MY Schwinn Volare's, Voyageur 11.8; Holdsworth; Bob Jackson; Raleigh Super Course Mk II and Super Course Racing USA; Trek 1500

Definitely pull the Superbe Pro. Depending on it's condition, of course, they are regularly fetching $80-$100 on ebay in very clean and undamaged condition.

Wow - the auctions I watched so far brought in much less. It is cool looking.
I was considering pairing it with the 13 - 30 freewheel off the same bike and putting it on the Schwinn Prelude I was building up. The bike already has Accushift 6/7 speed indexed downtube shifters and an early Cyclone FD. Unfortunately it is a bit too small on me and I'll have to sell it off. Considering I've got $125 into it w/o a wheelset It's not going to be profitable.

Bikes: 1978 Schwinn Paramount racer, 1974 Schwinn Paramount racer, 1973 Schwinn tourer, 15+ Schwinn Stingrays from the 70s, 1989 Klein Quantum roadie, 1985 Falcon Race roadie, 1999 K2 MTB

The Suntour Pro stuff was only a slight notch below Dura Ace and Campy NR in the 80s. I am surprised it's fetching $100+ thought.

If you decide to keep it and set up an indexed system, be sure you get a 4-notch suntour free wheel, as the 2-notch free wheels are not designed to work with the Suntour Accushift system. Also, if you can find a Suntour chain, so much the better. If not, use a narrow 9-speed chain.

I put the Superbe Pro on a Schwinn Prelude I'm selling (posted pics in C&V). I ended up taking off the accushift indexed shifters because the Superbe doesn't have an cable adjuster to fine tune the gears.
