eBay totally botched it now

Anybody else hate the new "improvement" eBay made to the search function? What used to be an easy ritual of searching for specific items has now become unbearably tedious. I can no longer just go to "cycling" and then plug in my search terms. No, eBay has somehow "improved" the search function so that now i must enter my search terms, and then go to "cycling," each and every time.

I predict sales will go down...

I hate it too - I found a link on the search page to turn the "improved" search off and go back to the old way. I wish I could remember exactly what / where the link was .

Go to the bottom of a search page and there is a paragraph that says "click here to opt out of search test"

Whatchoo talkin bout Willis?

From my 'My Ebay' page I dropped down the catagories to 'Sporting Goods' and picked 'Cycling' from the left column. I can go deeper if I want or search all of 'Cycling'.

Why do you hate eBay?

Nothing has changed with my search functions either. I'm guessing not everyone is getting the new "test" search.

One thing I like about the new Search is that it (apparently) searches all Stores as well as all Auctions. Some rough edges, though.
