My Cilo is gone!

After much inner debate and soul searching, I sold my Cilo. There are pics posted on here somewhere if anyone is interested in looking. I've had it for several years. 80's vintage, Shimano 600 group, Campy hubs laced to Mavic rims, Columbus tubing. A beautiful ride. I'm going to miss it. Why did I sell? There is a pretty large group of riders at work. One of them has been searching for a road bike (has a decent mountain bike), but couldn't afford new. He had asked several times if I'd be willing to sell the Cilo. I didn't ride it much, so agreed to sell. Sold it to him for less than it was worth, but he wanted the bike more than I needed the money. As much as I love the bike, it feels good to help get another prospective rider out on the road. Hopefully, he will enjoy the bike as much as I have. Maybe my good deed will pay off, and I'll be rewarded by stumbling across a vintage steel, Celeste Bianchi frame in mint condition for a reasonable price. A guy can dream, can't he?

Your bike karma will come back to you... Cheers, I'll drink to your generosity. Luckily the only friend my size is in Europe... On a frame I sold him! haha I have sold him 2 bikes and given him one... but he gave it back when he left and now it's my daily rider...

Funny, I am thinking of getting rid of a late 80s celeste 60cm Bianchi frame which i don't have time to rebuild and is collecting dus. But thats in europe and it's in not so good condition...

A little far, and a little big. I've been loooking for a few years. Have almost accepted the fact that I'm going to have to re-paint anything I find. Anything I've found locally has been pretty beat up, and ebay prices get a little crazy. I'll just have to be happy with my 04 model until that classic comes along!
