brooks double rail saddle seatpost question
Hi,
I bought a used Brooks b72 double rail saddle that only accepts a 7/8 inch/22.2 mm seat post and the seat post tube on my frame is for 30mm seat posts. Is there any way that i can make this work without having to hire a machinist to make a custom shim or seatpost to fit? I would greatly appreciate any suggestions.
thanks,
billy

What kind of bike is it on? If its a Schwinn you can get one from Sheldon Brown I think? Bike Parts USA sells a bushing for a buck 98 that turns 13/16" into 7/8" there is a guy on ebay that sells the seat post that is 13/16 and 7/8" on the top like you need.

hey..
brooks b-72 is a standard double rail saddle..
it will use any classic saddle clamp..
or, with a seat sandwich you can use any modern style seatpost:

Thank you very much! I will check out that link. the frame is some chinese made thing that a friend gave me and i am taking old and used parts and turning it into a cruiser. It is kind of an off brand called "boanbike".
