amf -frame worth saving

Ran across an AMF roadbike. The frame is yellow and looks pretty good but the rest of it is a wreck. If it is cheap enough is it worht saving the frame to build something back on? Thanks

They have little value, but can be patched together quite well to look like one of the Little 500 racers from the '70s.

Bikes: Mostly English - predominantly Raleighs

If it has sentimental value, there's no harm in saving/restoring it. If you're looking to fix it and make a profit selling it - no chance of that.

I found an AMF that had "made in Austria" on the head tube decal, so I think that it was made by Puch. It has lugs and a cottered crank instead of welded and one piece crank.

I think a "Puch" AMF would be worth saving, but thats me, and I became the,, errr...proud owner of a "Ted Williams" Free Spirit yesterday.

I did. It's a three speed, so I painted it black with a white fender stripe, like all the classic British bikes.
