Gettin antsy

I'm gettin antsy to get all the parts in for my Continental rebuild. I've got the Brooks and the NOS brake levers and the RD and FD. Waiting to get the crankset so I can decide what to do about the BB. Tires ae on order from my buddy at the LBS. Just want to get started on this bike before the weather turns to crap around here so I can at least get one shakedown ride on it. How do you deal with the waiting part. I don't want to start another project only to have to stop it once I get all my stuff.

To tell you the truth, that was my first suggestion. Second suggestion is to go for a really long ride. Third suggestion would be to break some strings (that is, play some music ).

After that I run out of good things to do that can be mentioned on a family friendly site .

Like Easthill said, I ride my bike, do some gardening, long walks with my wife, volunteer work at the hospital.....

Who am I kidding? I stare out the window with my dog, waiting for the UPS truck. Driver always has dog biscuits and the dog knows this.

Search all the nooks and crannies for bikes and bike parts on eBay.

Scour the internet for more bike stores, blogs, forums, historical records, and pictures of bicycles.

Then there's the Scotch and chocolate.

(there's some demolition going on a block over and the rumbling of the trucks makes me look up expecting to see the UPS truck screeching to a halt at my door.)

Polish, clean, sort and prepare things. Troll your area's shops, find some you haven't been to. For me there's no such thing as 'waiting' - just 'improving' or 'maintaining'.

Man, I hate winter, though.
