How to measure drop bars
Where are the measurments on the width of drop bars taken? I want to get a nicer set for the Continental and don't know if the measurement is taken on the top of the curl or the bar ends.

They are all taken from the drops, end to end, though some are measured centre to centre and some are measured outside to outside...

But there is much more to it than that. Besides width, there's drop, depth, and the angle of the bend, whatever those things are officially called.
Deda lists the following measurements for their bars:
Width Measurement - Outside
Bar Width
Bar Drop
Bar Reach
Drop Bend Style Anatomic
Bar Clamp Diameter
Weight
If I knew a place that made custom bars I might send in the ones from my Bottecchia and have them copied in a wider width. I love the shape better than any I've found but they could be wider.
