sirocco -80 components...

Hi guys,
I was hoping you could help us out. I've just bought a nice raleigh sirocco and I'm so far pleased. I also got a bunch of components and a -75 gitane (green, don't know which model.). The gitane is too big so I'm thinking about selling it. But before I do I'd like to find out which components go on my bike and which go on the gitane.
Does anyone know what things go on my new raleigh?
Thanks a lot.

Are you trying to find OEM parts for the bike? or just trying to get it rideable? If you have two groups, i would honestly pick the nicer one for yourself and put the other on the Giante and sell it. If you are looking for original parts, im not the one that can help you, i dont know much about either bike. But im sure that someone will be along with more info.

I just want to know what type of components it had on when it was new. I had my first real ride today and it felt good so I'm not sure I want to change it too much.

Look at the components you have. What brand and model are they? chances are we can make a pretty good guess just based on the age of the components? If you can take pictures of the bike and all the components we'll be able to give you a lot more input.

Hello,
The components that are on right now are:
Rear gear: shimano 600
Front gear: Huret(don't know what model but i think it's not supposed to be there)
Brakes: Weinman 500
The brakes and the pedal arms are eloxide(?) gold and is probably not right because I have a pair of shimano 600 pedal arms that looks more right for the time.
What do you think. The serial on the frame sais that its an 1980 (or 70, (probably not)).
I alson think I have one brake that sais weinman 500 raleigh on it but it is not mounted. I guess it could be the right one.
Thanks for your help.

I'm also wondering if you can get new decals from somewhere...
And perhaps an original paint number in case I decide to repaint it.
thanks/Adam
