I posted this in the Roadie forum, but I hope the C&V folks appreciate it as well! My 1994 Marinoni Special, newly painted by Marinoni and built up with circa 2005 Campagnolo Record. Better photos here, pre and post build:

Here are picture of my built in progress. Its actually a mix of Record and Centaur. The Dura Ace brakes will probably get replace once I find a decently priced pair of Delta brakes. I also need a Selle Italia SLR saddle or a black San Marco Regal.
I paid more than I would have liked for the frame but it ends up being almost free after selling the 3Rensho seat post, crankset and Stem. Same for the shifters, almost free after selling the rest of the Record 10 group I cannot afford, already had the Centaur parts.

That's one gorgeous bike.... A friend of mine has the track version of the same color, and it always blows me away. That bike is meant to be ridden fast.

I posted this in the road bike forum but I've been riding this during the winter months until the weather starts getting nice. Thanks to all in the C&V for answering my questions on building it up

Question for you, as I just finished wrapping a set of Ergos. Does routing the cable like that cause any shifting problems or anything? It just seems like a lot of bends, etc for a shifter cable. I haven't ridden mine yet. Great looking bike.

No problems shifting. Im using Deda 215 bars, which have guides for the cables under the bars. Not sure what you mean though exactly. SRAM uses internal routing. Maybe that's why it looks funny?

Here's the one I put together for my girlfriend as a birthday present. It was originally equipped with generic Suntour Cyclone or some other ho-hum parts group. While the frame was gorgeous, the components worked but were definitely worn out and beaten down, and downtube shifting makes her a little uncomfortable. I picked up a ten-speed 105 group for $300, pieced together some new wheels from hoops and hubs I had laying around (not pictured), and built this.
The stem is temporary, as soon as we get the right fit for her, I'm going to put a quill stem on there to class the bike up a measure. Otherwise, everything else works great and she loves it.
