If the picture is posted on the web, right click on it and choose the "copy image URL" option (at least that's the wording Chrome uses, your browser might differ slightly). Then click on the little icon that says "insert image" above the reply box (looks like a tree inside a box) and then paste your link inside the dialog box that pops up. You need to use the image url not the url of the web page the picture is on.

WV is not flat..
They are heavy frames, but very comfortable to ride. Mine did have the seat tube stripes and the LeTour sticker on the top tube, but they were pretty scratched up so I took them off. It gave it a pretty clean look. One of the best colors I've seen. I am going to put an STI group on it if I come across a reasonably priced set.
Haha! That is very cool. It seems I am the only person with a Le Tour on here that has the OG stem though! I really love the casting of the factory stem on the bike and would be very hesitant to swap it out for anything else.
Mine's a year older than yours, and it seems they dropped the seattube striping for '82.
For bonus period correct coolness mine still has the stickers from the original retailer of the bike on the seat tube! Very cool to see other Le Tour owners on here. I love the frame, despite how heavy and flexy it is. It's just so pretty.

What sucks is the stock original BB (JIS) on my project is perfectly fine, but the stock original Sugino chainrings just don't pick up the chain (PC-1070) well. . . actually hardly at all.
Individual chainrings or will an FSA Vero work?

Well, moved to Seattle & suffered many months of sunshine deprivation. Yesterday was gorgeous so took this beauty for a ride around Mercer Island in the sunshine. Full Dura-Ace group including the hubs that roll fast & sound just perfect. Dorky pic because Mt Rainier was beautiful in the background wearing her snowsuit but she's not visible in the photo due to iPhone-suck.
Shifts like a dream, so happy I put STI on her. Wonderful ride in spite of the too-aggressive position (for me) forced by the long top tube combined with the fancy Pinarello pantographed stem that I'm reluctant to replace with a taller, plain stem. Now to get the legs in shape to ride the local hills
Bigger pic of the bike as previously posted in this thread. No real changes except getting the rear derailleur hanger tweaked to straighten things out. Oh yeah, replaced the saddle (ass hatchet) with a Specialized Romin (much kinder saddle) & random seatpost after someone helped themselves to the previous parts (my aero campy seatpost - grrrr!) while the bike was parked. At least he didn't take more but he did take the same components off my hardtail Mtn bike & tried to steal the wheelset but failed. Stupid crack heads!

I'm actually on my second go-around of rattle-can clearcoat on the TT. It chips off really easily with no primer even if I rough it up with emery paper. I need to just bite the bullet and get the bike powder coated but I'm gonna miss that garbage-bike look.
As for my MTB, I got a smokin' deal on a barely used '09 Specialized Stumpjumper Expert Hardtail. It weighs .5lb more than this Miyata.

Awesome, on the hardtail. Bummer about ruining the garbage-bike look, but maybe you could find a way to do it tastefully.

'88 Schwinn Paramount - should it be 8 speed or 9 speed Dura Ace
I could use some advice. I have a nice, almost perfect black 1988 50th Anniversary Paramount frame. It's current built-up with 8-speed Dura Ace (with STI shifters). Not quite period correct, but close. I have an opportunity to rebuild it with 9-speed Dura Ace. I guess the biggest win with the newer group would be slightly better shifting, slightly lighter group, 12% more gears. If I sell the 8 speed group the cost is a push.
What should I do?
