Seller only says it is a 1985 or 86 and that her husband paid "around $900" for it back then...

They are asking $175. I emailed them and pretty much told them I would take it. It looks to be about my size, maybe just a hair small. I couldn't find any catalogs online, but figure its a Bianchi, without suicide levers, stem shifters, an only 200 miles on it for under $200. Could I be going wrong?

That is a good price if it is your size. The celestes ones go for a lot of money on eBay lately, the fixed gear kids like them a lot and the frames alone fetch upwards of $200.

here's a site with 84,85 and 86 catalogues:

Hard to tell what it is from the pics posted (other than celeste).

I just got a reply with a phone number and the bike is mine. She said she had about 8 replies on it so far but we got to talking and she said she has a friend who lives by me that could drop it off. When I told her I was worried it would get sold out from under me, she said not to worry, the bike was mine if I wanted it...sweet!

So we'll see how it fits. If its not my size, it will go up on ebay, or I'll pass the deal onto a friend.

Celeste colour is reserved for the better outfitted bikes, outfitted with campy, but many have quality Suntour groups. Move quickly if you want it. Its agood deal even though the description and pictures are weak.Probably has a decent wheelset, hopefully not tubulars,(a hassle for the novice). The size looks like a 56 or 58 cm. not too big not too small. Go for it you wont be dissapointed.

Single bottle cage so probably more like an '83. No chrome on the drive chain-stay so not a Reparto bike. Most likely an Alloro. Definitely worth $200, they ride great.
