looks very good, I even like the black stem and tape...

i guess i would probably take most of the wheel stickers off though

Thanks Scooper. I was wondering about the Shimano drops. I thought they might be some cost cut option for the budget minded.

I don't believe the decision to switch from Campagnolo to Shimano dropouts was an effort to cut costs. In any case, they've proven to be tough and reliable. Here are the rear dropouts on my '87 Paramount after the repaint. The two previous owners were both serious riders who really racked up the miles, so it has taken a lot of abuse over its 20 years.

All this talk is making it really hard to be patient... Luckily the fact that the dustcaps seem to be welded into the cranks will keep me from building it up and taking it for a ride, just to have to break it down again for p-coating.
