I'd always thought that Gianella was the company in PQ that was associated with Marinoni.

edit: Welp, looks like I am wrong, there is a Vianelli on the Montreal Kijiji right now and the seller says Marinoni made it: https://montreal.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-...AdIdZ107242986

It looks to have the Marinoni headbadge on it too....

Cicli Vianelli is located in Brescia in Italy. THEY built for Marinoni and not the other way around. I believe the relationship goes way back to when they used to race against each other.

No, you can buy a Marinoni in Canada that is built in Italy by Vianelli and then shipped across the Atlantic in a big boat.

I think it's a silly idea to convert what is OBVIOUSLY a fine road bike to a single speed. What are you thinking? Clean it up, put it up for sale to one of us, and buy your neighbour a case of Molson.

Two years old? Good God the bike's probably been converted, painted, reconverted, and then backed over by the other neighbour's car by now! Sorry I commented.
I wouldn't convert any quality bike though.

It would be interesting to track him down and see what happened to it...but my guess is that it is either hanging in his garage or it went with someone else. I'd go two cases of Guiness and a fifth of Aberlour for the bike as it was.
