what is it worth? + more ?'s

I'm thinking about offering the person with this bike 25 dollars (it's be reposted and reduced in price a couple of times now). How much do you think its worth?
My plan is to not follow my regular fixi/ss route and go classy for a change.
I would like to change it to a 3 speed and put on mustache bars.
I've never had a bike with an internal 3 speed. What would it take to convert the bike.
Thanks.

Bikes: AM Moulton. Brompton S-type.

I'd say if you can get it for $25/$30 it's cheap. Unusual looking bike. It's not to much of a job to convert to 3 speed. You need a hub, I'd get a Sturmey, shifter and cable. If you look around you should be able to get a hub very cheap. I've picked two up here for a £1 each. New spokes, lace to the rim. Ride about with glee.

For some reason, I'd keep it as is. It's just too unusual looking. Looks completely stock too. Good luck

Well, it's a low end American made 3 speed. I can't see what I need to see to determine the manufacturer, but as it was sold by Wards, it's probably a rollfast. Possibly Iverson (by the late 70s, I think they were made in the same factory). So likely not worth very much. However if you got him down to $25, then it'd most likely be worth it.
Also, try and check the frame alignment. Rollfast and Iverson were notorious for poorly aligned frames. I guess just eyeball it and see that it looks straight, and ride it and see that it doesn't try to pull to one side (and if it does pull, check to see that the front wheel is in straight before concluding the frame is out of whack).
