Help identifying this Basso
I'm unsure of the model. It's 54cm, dark magenta with chrome rear stay and fork, True Temper tubing, the rear brake bridge is similar to the "Coral" model that is for sale on ebay. The BB shell has 2 small cutouts, and I believe the markings are 54 and 85775 or similar (going from memory on that one)

I will take pictures of it today. I'm 99% sure it was True Temper.

It's actually Columbus tubing, TreXXXXXX (couldn't read the rest), BB markings are 54, C and 811511, paint has chips and rust has some pitting, and the measurements are 21.5" square

Can't see the picture but "Trexxxxx" is probably TreTubi. I forget what that means though lol so not much help there. I know it means "three tubes" but I forget if that means the main tubes are SL and the stays are something else (Aelle etc) or if it's something completely different.
my first super serious bike was a Basso,

tretubi could make it a late 70's Basso Arrenacia (sp?).
iirc, basso back then was big on columbus tubing so tretubi would mean an sl main triangle and probably aelle fork and stays

Might the frame be an 81 given the "81XXXX" BB stamp? And thanks for the identification help.

Tretubi is what the others have said: the three main tubes are Columbus and the stays can be anything. This typically indicates one of the lower level bikes from a producer like Basso (not that it won't be a good ride). Pretty sure your serial # indicates a 1981 date of manufacture.

There's a 1981 Basso catalog here, https://www.bulgier.net/pics/bike/Cat...-ciclibasso81/ .
