Shimano Code List

I've been shopping for a vintage triple crankset for a while and today I was very exited to find a shimano triple road crankset at a second hand bike store for 40$. I wasn't sure what model they were so I looked it up and found this excellent german website that lists many codes. Turns out they are the rare shimano 600 triple cranks! Hope someone else finds this website as helpful!

From: Take a deep breath, and ask--What would Sheldon do?

Bikes: Nishiki Nut! International, Pro, Olympic 12, Sport mixte, and others too numerous to mention.

Interesting! It doesn't look as if it's complete, but it could certainly help steer one in the correct direction. Oh, and where was this store?

Thanks SC!

That is a great website with a lot of good information. However there are some gaps in the dates, most obviously 85 & 86. I have made extensive use of it to fill in date information for Shimano components on VeloBase.com.
