Old? Merlin

I know it isn't tooo clasic or vintage but maybe someone could help identify this.
Is there anyway to tell what exactly I have here? No serial numbers no identifying model numbers or anything. I swapped the tires/tubes and seat.

Full dura ace (8 speed) on a titanium frame

Litage Sakae Fork, CR3-2.5 Titanium, Merlin, Titanium and Dura ace are the only writing on the bike.

There will be date codes on the Dura ace, that should tell you how old it is. There is a Ti Merlin for sale on eBay now.

What kind of BB does it have? The early ones have a very small pressed in "Grease Guard" I think it was called.
Looks like an aluminum fork also. My guess is early to mid '90's. Watch out for crack near the shifter bosses on the downtube. A lot of them cracked there and Merlin fixed it by removing the tube and BB and replacing with threaded BB and new tube. Some got a new frame instead. Depended on how busy they were at the time. Get rid of the Aluminum fork and replace with a Carbon one.

There is a 60cm and I believe 54 paramount at Richardson Bike Mart in Richardson Texas for anyone interested.
And is the aluminum to carbon thing a safety thing, a better for the bikes longevity thing or just my comfort? I rode it today and was in the saddle over 6 hours through some really crappy roads and I have _Zero_ pain or soreness.

Edit: There are quite a few really nice old bikes there. I think they even had a used waterford hanging up but it might have been just up there awaiting service.
