chainguards

after stumbling across some beautiful ones on ebay and impulse buying them... I have since fallen for beautiful and functional chainguards (I have one like this https://picasaweb.google.com/VeloOran...66842410572050 and another that is more of a sweeping cloud). The thing is I would really like to use them hehehe... I am going to mount one on my Schwinn superior city bike with a single chainring, but i would really like to mount one on my touring bike that has a front dérailleur.... after messing with it a bit it seems this probably wont be possible without it being mounted so high above the chain that it would look absurd.

...so on to the point of this, what are my options for a beautiful chainguard that I can still use with my TA triple cranks? what should I be scouring ebay for? I wouldnt mind too much a lever operated dérailleur but because of my height and the corresponding frame size i can see it being fairly awkward to use (i have a 69cm c-c).

thanks for the help

There was a good discussion on the Velo-Orange blog on the topic of chainguards awhile back:

https://velo-orange.blogspot.com/2007...s-are-art.html

Some Simplex chainguards were made to work with particular Simplex front derailleurs, but tracking down the match might be difficult. I think you can do it with your TA triple as the TA crankset has enough room for a chainguard between the crank arm and the largest ring, but it's not a lot of room!
