All the ones I've seen were triple bar top tubes, with the seat stays arcing up fom the rear axle, attaching to seat tube just below the main top tube and continuing on to attach to the downtube a few inches behind the head tube. If I recall correctly, the main top tube appears is horizontal but does start to arc down to the seat tube just before the tip of the saddle. I'll see if I can dig up a pic.

From: My response would have been something along the lines of: "Does your bike have computer controlled suspension? Then shut your piehole, this baby is from the future!"

Bikes: to many to list

I don't have any road bikes.I find the seating position uncomfortable and the lightweight wheels and frames flimsy.
I ride only Raleigh and CCM middleweights(one is 60 years old).I commute over 7000 miles a year on them,so you can't say that it can't be done. That was what they were built for.
I also notice that there is no forum for balloon tire, boneshakers, high wheelers,......The TRUE C&V bikes.Maybe something needs to be done about that
Helloooooooooooo....where are you? you started a sweet thread here, whats say you take a nanosecond to reply? P.S. I would like to see pics of your bikes too

Heavy bikes.

I am always happy to post pics of my bikes for sure. I am a roadie, ride with a club, have a carbon bike and like the high end stuff, but I really got into 1915 to 1955 older bikes with the period from 1934 to 1941 being of special interest. Anyway, link below is the link to pics of my bikes. Marc

Hi.Thanks for replying.I like what I'm hearing.Seems like a great place to hang out with fellow enthusiasts.
Unfortunatly my computer is dead so I am limited to when I can post.I'm using a computer at the public library and there's a time limit to how long I can use it.Other people waiting for it.
I'll have to get my hands on a camera so I can take some pics.I have 8 bikes right now(5 Raleighs and 3 CCMs).I ride 4 of them and the other 4 are more or less parts bikes.I regularly carry 20-40 lbs. of stuff with me.Sometimes more.I don't drive a car(never have, never will)so I have to use my trailer when I go grocery shopping.
I have never found the heaviness of my bikes to be an issue.I guess once you get used to it it's not that hard.I don't have a problem with hills either,I just have to get up out of the saddle and crank. My daily commute (round trip) is 45 miles with a few good hills along the way.
So, thanks for the welcome and I will be posting more soon.......Roy

I just noticed that the 2008 Seattle Bike Swap will be Saturday, February 23, 2008, 9 AM to 2 PM, at Magnuson Park.

I couldn't find a date for the meet at the Kent Armory for this year. I did go last year .
