I am looking to pick up this bike. It is a Fuji Allegro. Black. 27”x1 1/8” tires. Suntour gears. Dont know the year. What does it sound like its worth?

Is it a possible good buy (potential to be nice) or just a cheap bike that works?

Does it have downtube shifters or stem shifters?

Horizontal dropouts?

Allegros were made in the 80's.

The price will be more determined by condition and how much the seller wants to get rid of it.

Here's a womens Fuji Allegro that I sold on CL a while back, when I lived in the SF Bay Area. Bought it for $15 at the Oakland Museum White Elephant Sale and sold it for $150 to the first person that saw it. It had very few miles on it and was all original, but I didn't even dust it off or air the tires.

Short horizontal dropouts and stem shifters, Araya or Ukai alloy wheels, can't remember which. Nitto stem with steel bar. Suntour/Sugino drivetrain. Fuji Valite tubing.
