Pinarello Montello
So my father has a '90 Pinarello Montello 54cm with Shimano Dura-Ace components; the tubes are Columbus SLX. I am new to the sport and i'm not sure how much this bike is worth now. I know it was top of the line and it is in good condition, does anyone now how much this could go for?

If you do decide to sell it, I'm in the market for one that size. Post some pictures if you can, and that will help everyone get an idea of condition.

I would never sell a bike that had belonged to my father but here is one that was on e-Bay recently, it had a high bid of $455 but didn't reach reserve, then was relisted & sold for $700 https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=320209382635

I wouldn't either, but my father suggested it. I guess it was more important to him to fund my new found interest than keep it hanging in our garage for no one to see or ride.

Yeah, dubhockey, you really should add some more pics, look at your competition:

Take one of the bike up against a clean, white wall and a couple of close-ups of the components, you will attract much more attention. It is a great bike and you can get a pretty penny for it, if done right.

Agree.. these bikes can go for as low as $350 and as much as $1100 and it totally depends on the pics and presentation.. well that and condition.
