I am looking for a dust cap (or two) for a Sakae SP-155 pedal. These are definitely metal, not plastic, and look just like the MKS caps on Velo. Anyone know if the MKS caps will fit?

A little back woods tech for y'all
Go to any auto parts store or engine rebuilder, ask to see their assortment of engine block freeze plugs. They are made of soft steel and if you find the right size will push snugly into female pedal openings. For male ends the plugs are soft enough to self thread on to the pedal. Paint to match or spray with clear coat for a natural metal finish. Some come galvanized as well.

Just a couple of pics of SR pedals for reference. These use plastic dust caps.
I don't remember the quil model # but I think they are 150's.

I'm pretty sure that they won't.
Read the rest of the post for why I say that.

I know, ancient thread BUT... if people like me are still coming to this thread for info, then perhaps this will help someone:

the slightly smaller SR pedal dust cap threads (as was said, about 1mm smaller than Campy and MKS)
are the same size as the bb dust cap threads found at the center of virtually every crankset of that time.

Yes, bb dust caps are a lot shallower and won't work as-is, but if you cut the tops or modify them somehow,
then you will at least have a cap that threads correctly.
