Group specifications of frame sets?
Hi,
When browsing late 80's or early 90's steel frame sets in Ebay, I noticed that some frame descriptions include a group specification such as: Columbus SLX frame set for Campagnolo Super Record.
Why is the group mentioned? If the frame set is reasonably modern, such as having 130 mm rear dropout spacing, shouldn't I be able to use any modern parts as long as the part measures such as diameters and threads are compatible?
What compatibility issues would I most likely face with Campagnolo Super Record and modern Campagnolo parts for example?

People often put useless information in listings to get people to see their listing that might be interested.
In your example, the listing would pop up on a search for Campagnolo, even though it is completely irrelevant.
They make it look like it belongs in the listing so that the fact that they are keyword spamming is not as obvious.

Thanks for answers, somehow the keyword spamming just didn't occur to me. Of course it's there because people looking for NOS parts may also be interested in NOS frames.
I didn't post that question to RBR even though that post was very similar. I do have an account there but have never posted anything as far as I can remember.
