Dating a Magistroni headset

I just picked up this nice Magistroni Senior headset.

I know they started using the toothed washer in the 30s but when did they stop using it? I think I remember a thread here or a discussion on the CR list about these toothed washers. Does anyone recall? My guess is they stopped making them in the mid 50s but that is just a guess. Any info will be appreciated.

I would guess 1950's, too. You'll find a reference to one with a toothed lock washer here:

You may want to ask the CR crowd about this.

I've had similar ones but marked OLMO or ARBOS for the bikes they're on. I have the ARBOS off now if you want to see a pic, I guess the bike is early-mid 50s. Does have the toothed washer/cup.
