A Fork for my Paramount

A Fork for my Paramount
I have a 1987 Paramount Frame that I am building up with mostly campy super and nuovo record (except for brakes which will be shimano 600 because I happen to have a set). Alas, the original fork was damaged. While the ebay seller I bought the frame from included a replacement fork (Steel Guercotti 80s vintage) its not in great shape (not bad either)and not particularly attractive. Consequently, I am seeking replacement but dont want to break bank (i.e. cant afford to buy one from the Waterford people. A couple of options:
-- I notice that ebay seller Schwinn Store, is selling "NOS Paramount forks" in variey of colors (I'd be looking at red or blue for my Ice White Paramount in order to get 230mm steerer I need). Does anyone know what these might be and where they might have come from (I have asked seller and will post iof I get a reply).
-- Tange cromo in either black or chrome, Either would look better I think that red or blue "Paramount" forks noted above; will new fork work with my 1990 vintage shimano 600 brakes?

Here's were you can find a black cromo Tange from Harris/Quality:

You might also contact Waterford. I'm certain your '87 would be proud to wear a new Waterford fork!

I'm sorry! I somehow skimmed past your comment about the Waterford fork. My bad.
Another option would be to see what a local powder coater might charge just to redo the Guercotti fork in a color you like. It might be less than $50.

Thats the way I am leaning. I am rethinking the idea of buying a tange becuase the Guerciotti one I have is kinda growing on me -- its appearance notwithstanding. Its not unicrown, which I like and has campy dropouts. Also the Tanges are 50mm rake, which is a bit of a concern from a handling perspective. What I can't figure out is how old this fork is or what the tubing is. It has no marks regarding tubing and the Guerciotti "G Star" mark on the crown is different that others I have seen. I have only ever seen the mark with a G inside a big star. This fork has a big G with a small star above. If anyone have any guesses as to when Guerciotti used that kind of mark, I would be interested.
