If you do repaint it, you should try and match the current celeste paint. Potential Bianchi buyers seem to be willing to pay a substantial premium for that color.

More importantly... after talking with my LBS about a cheaper build... I think the new price is pretty reasonable... wheelset, use old cranks and BB, change out the bar stem, rewrap the bars, new pedals
The most expensive part is the wheelset. I can go really cheap and just change out the back wheel, I can go somewhat cheap and buy a cheap wheelset for around$110, I can spend a little more and get an all black wheelset, or I can spend a good chunk of the build on all black Deep V's with Black spokes and hubs but it will look a great deal similar to the pictures I posted earlier & they would be bomb proof.
Maybe I can get the Deep V's in a size that would be friendly with any future bike I have.

My LBS is probably really confused by my right now.
But finally decided... they have a cheap all black wheel set thats gonna go on the bike, gonna do a single speed conversion eliminating the biopace stuff running 42 up front and 17or 18 in the back, using the original cranks, new longer barstem, new bartape, and new brake levers. Should look pretty slick with the celeste frame, black wheels, black bars, black seat... and am hoping it'll ride just as nice.
Should be done by next week... looking forward to seeing how it turns out... if it works out really nice, maybe I'll commit to a full restoration and get the frame refinished with a new coat of celeste and new decals.
