Stripped dust caps Help?

Hi,
I am trying to get the cranks off an old bike and they have this plastic dust caps that need to be removed with a screw-driver but when i tried to remove them, the plastic broke and now a screw driver cannot be used to unscrew them. What can I do?

Thanks in ADVANCE>

If they're plastic just break them out!

really, you can rip out most of the metal ones as well. Just be careful that you don't screw up the threads...

I had a metal one in an old Nervar crank arm recently that was an absolute bear to get out. It had an allen bolt fitting, which was stripped, so I then tried to drill a couple of pin holes to use a pin tool to spin it out, but it absolutely wouldn't budge. Given that this crankarm was snapped at the pedal anyway, I resorted to some serious hacking away until I could get at the crank arm bolt. That dustcap held on until the very last.
