The stickies crowd out all the fresh posts when you open this forum.........annoy anyone else?

Every once in a while they get condensed or cleaned out, but we love our stickies. Perhaps it really is time to see about a subforum just for the stickies. We had a poll on this not long ago...

Actually, my take on this is that I enjoy anticipating whether or not I will see anything new and of interest as I scroll down.

I can remember when C&V was the only popular forum without a sticky.

And now we RULE with the MOST stickies!



For me, it's like the Sunday paper, I read the comics first. I enjoy starting with Numbskull or Catch d'jour.
And like East Hill, the anticipation of what the top "new" post will be about.

I have a red star, so as long as the ads are gone, I'm good!

Don't mind the stickies, and will use adblock instead of becoming a 'Red Star' (are you Commies?), unless there is a C&V 'For Sale' sticky.

you know what I don't like about the stickies, and the monster threads ("Show us your...") as well? I don't know how to find, within the thread, the thingie that I'm looking for. I can say "trek 2300" and find the thread that is currently running, but I can't say "Somec" and find the page in the "Show us your..." thread where I put it a couple of years ago. At least not without a lot of rooting around.

Maybe, like so many things, I just don' know what I'm doin'.
