S.A. FW into AW shell.

I recently aquired a Sturmey-Archer FW hub that I plan on putting into an AW shell on my old club bike. Yes, I have the correct toggle shifter. I've researched the conversion process but I'm looking for up-to-date info from folks who have recently done this. Tips, tricks, suggestion(s) and comments would be greatly appreciated. Thx, PG.

I've done it on my 1949 Clubman (FW innards in an AW shell). Worked like a charm, and given that the original trigger was a 3/4 speed, I didn't have to do any other modifications. The FW is an excellent hub. Perhaps the only tricky part is setting the indicator with the right amount of tension. I recommend the instructions under "Fitting and Adjustment" on Tony Hadland's SA page: https://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~ha...samaintind.htm
