I also suspect your rear derailler has been changed as it's a mismatched level from the front and the AR sounds about right. I'm going to guess that you'll find an older date code on the rear than the front. Other places to check dates/codes are on the hubs and on the back side of the crank arms.

The too small for anyone Super Grande Prix...

Ricoh -

Been looking for a really small road bike and that SGP looks like a 20 inch / 50 cm frame...we're always looking for small frames here.

Is it for sale ?

I would also like to find another set of those factory wheels for my Carlton.

The general consensus is 83'-ish but the picture in the 83' catalog has stem mounted shifters, so maybe it's an 84'

Checked the components. The brakes are from late 82' and the derailleurs early 83'. But the picture in the 83' catalog has stem shifters...

Shifters are often moved.

I've converted a couple bikes from stem to D/T.

catalogs are often written before final production details are done too.

Forgive me for bumping, but the frame is dated '83 (BB serial # starts with "3"). Color scheme matches the '83 specs as well - no reason to doubt that it isn't.
