Bikes: 25 at last count. One day I'll make a list
Goodbye!!
I just sold the bike that helped me find this web forum!
I was helped by many wonderful and knowledgeable member as to the heritage and value of my miyata 1000.
I have over the last few months read and amicably conversed about a multitude of topics with riders, sellers and collectors on this forum and have come to appreciate the wisdom and latitude that you all possess!
Though that miyata deserved a better owner than me, I am deeply regretful in the loss of a bike that kept me equal in some respect to those who constantly post and live on this board!!!!!
I think I go will play the White Album for the 10,0000th time: to console my inner self

Just because you sold your bike is no reason to leave.
Stick around...

As an admitted latitudinarian, though perhaps not a wise one, I'd have to say that you're welcome here anytime, and don't worry too much about doctrine, because the group here doesn't either -- that's what makes it fun.

Yeah, don't leave because you got rid of the bike. You may come across another one or just keep watching what we are getting into. This place is full of some incredible people and I don't believe I could go away now if I tried. Or it would be cool to take a break for awhile and come back and see what has changed..Nah I'll stay..

The goodbye was to the bike I sold and not to you all. And I am happy to hear y'all will let me play in the sandbox for awhile more!!!
I too have been somewhat bitten by this vintage bug(much to my wife's dismay) and am now actively looking for the next rehab program. I don't get flippers who don't fix what they sell and ride what they fix at least to test. I figure that if a bike can handle my fat *** for 10 miles without breaking bolts or spitting out it's bearings then it's good for sale!!!!
