AMF Hercules Cruiser saved from trash... help with year?

Hey, I pulled this from the curb yesterday, and spent today cleaning it up. All it needed was air in the tires and grease in the headset, and it was ready to go. I used a rag soaked in oxalic acid to strip off the rust on the rear rack and handlebars, it worked pretty well... there's pretty bad pitting on the handlebars and the front fender, but it turned out beautifully

I'd like to know how old it is... but don't really know how to date it. Serial number on the seat tube (just below the seatpost) is 210700

Pictures!

Just a WAG but I would say early to middle 60's and that is just a gut feeling from the appearance of it.

Should be a two digit number stamped on the hub, just like an SA hub.

I think Romet was a Dutch or Polish mfg.

I believe that chain guard came after mine was made (see my signature). I'll say late '60's at the oldest.

I'm thinking early 60's. I have a 65 AMF Hercules, and the chainguard looks much more "modern" than yours.

Looks like the same "hockey stick" chain guard I have on my late Sixties Raleigh.
