fenders for the mixte

After going over the mixte since I got it mocked up I ask Mrs. Stringbreaker if she would like some fenders to go with that bike, "but of course" she replied so I'm trying to decide what to use. I have some chrome jobs that were on another Schwinn and if they fit I'm thinking of using them I've yet to dig them out of the garage but if they don't fit I was thinking the Freddy fenders such as the ones I have on the Continental in the anodized aluminum look. Any suggestions on what might look good on this bike? Its gonna be some shade of pale green with black handlebars and a pink seat with pink cable housing. Would the black Freddy fenders set off the pink housing better than the anodized aluminum look?

I would get some of the "soft" silver ones from Velo-Orange. Or maybe a set of the polished Honjo's? I really, really like the extra length of their fenders over most of the competition.

The honjos are pretty pricey though... I vote for the VO fenders as well. Probably going to order a few sets myself.
