What bike is this?
It's obviously a Nishiki, but does anyone know what year this is? My grandpa dropped it off at my house since he knows that I'm into bikes. He doesn't know much about bikes so I couldn't ask him about it.

Bikes: 1959 Capo Modell Campagnolo; 1960 Capo Sieger (2); 1962 Carlton Franco Suisse; 1970 Peugeot UO-8; 1982 Bianchi Campione d'Italia; 1988 Schwinn Project KOM-10;
I am guessing either very late 1970s or, more likely, early 1980s. The single set of water bottle bosses is typical of that era -- by the mid 1980s, a second set, on the seat tube, had become almost universal. If it has a 6-speed freewheel, that would also befit that period. The under-the-bottom-bracket cable routing is also a 1980s thing.
Those who have seen pictures of Capo #1 know I love the red with the white head tube.

Having recently used this website to date my Nishiki rally, id suggest you check for your serial # on the bottom bracket, or seat stays. Then, compare against this.

That is true. It looks like your grandfather or whoever was riding it was trying to get an upright ride, using the bullhorns as makeshift north roads. You should lower the stem and raise the saddle and it'll look boss, although I don't know how much you can lower that stem (it looks mighty long) into that headtube (short).

Those TT levers really look nice. That's a really clean looking ride you got there. Is the Concor comfortable? I was thinking about getting a similar one for my bike.

Look at the red and white head tube bottecchia on ebay. I think it is the most attractive bike I've ever seen

Yes, it is attractive, but seriously, $800+ for a Bottechia? It's also not Record as the seller states - it has Victory components, well at least some of it. Maybe the fact that I got my Marinoni (which to me is undoubtedly a better bike) equipped with a similar group, for less than half that has something to do with it...

Nishiki was a subsidiary of Norco on this side of the border. You'll even find a little decal on the left chainstay sometimes that says "Designed by Norco". Their bikes from that era were all made in Japan from Tange tubing - solid, well-built bikes with a nice ride.
