Sunn bicycle?

Anybody have any experience with SUNN bicycles from europe. https://www.sunnbicycle.com/en/home/
I am going to look at at a 1993 SUNN sport 3 in a couple of days and was just looking at doing some research. I have no sense of their quality being across the pond but a 93 European MTB sounds interesting.

I've seen a couple of their bikes in person. Nice quality.
Never got to ride one, but they're popular in France, so draw your own conclusions.

About the french because they like the bike, or the bike because the french like them.

Thanks for the response.

Well, they invented the bicycle, and generally have quite high standards. Even their Decathlon brand "superstore" bikes are very nice. The average French person knows a hell of a lot more about bicycles than the average American. No offense.

Hi,

They did a line up of steel MTBs back than. They did low end, but also very high end with Prestige or Excel tubing.

By late 90s they also introduced other materials in their line up. First ti, later alu.

They wun multiple downhill worldcup stages and probably also worlds with some very good riders. They conquered a lot in cross crountry too.

I believe they are from BMX initially.

Check Retrobike.co.uk. Also some catalogues up there.

I bought the bike for my sister-in-law for about $20. The bike was a sunn sport force (300)3 or such. It had hardly been ridden but had some discoloration and not much care. Shimano altus a10 all around. Hutchinson nobbies dry rotting on the bike. The front derailleur alignment sticker was still on it. Should work well for her with some new tires and cables and a little cleaning and lube.

Thanks for all the comments.
Eric

That thread died in 2008. The original poster hasn't been here since 2015.
But once you get to 10 posts you can post a photo of your bike and we can give advice on how to affix a kickstand.
