Bikes: Colnago (82, 85, 89, 90, 91, 96, 03), 85 Cinelli, 90 Rossin, 83 Alan, 82 Bianchi, 78 Fountain, 2 x Pinarello, Malvern Star (37), Hillman (70's), 80's Beretto Lo-Pro Track, 80's Kenevans Lo-Pro, Columbus Max (95), DeGrandi (80's) Track.
I think steeper frame angles were more common in the 80's with the introduction of Triatalons. I do have a bike with a 74.5 degree seat tube and 75.5 degree head tube. It's a 1985 built frame. I call it my criterium bike. Very twitchy to ride - you have to pay attention to where you're pointing it.
Incidently, I have another 80's frame with a 70.5 degree seat tube and 72 degree head tube. This frame was a european pro's custom built team bike. Very relaxed yet a very nice and comfortable bike to ride.
What sort of angle do you call 'lax'?
